The Commissioners of Barnesville will hold a public hearing concerning proposed Ordinance No. 2026-02 – Speed Monitoring Systems in Residential Districts.
Ordinance No. 2026-02 would authorize the Town of Barnesville to establish and administer a speed monitoring system program pursuant to § 21-809 of the Transportation Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland.
The proposed Ordinance includes provisions concerning qualifying residential districts, speed monitoring system locations, public notice and signage, operation and calibration requirements, program administration, civil penalties, citation review, use of program revenues, and related requirements.
